Heroes Spoilers Chapter 14 - "Distractions"

As I said in my spoiler post yesterday, here is my Heroes spoilers blog for the next episode of Heroes - Season 1, Episode 14, which is called "Distractions". As usual, lots of spoilers here blah blah so if you want to remain in suspense until the broadcast, stop reading now ...

Distractions is a family relationships episode. Hiro's complicated relationship with his mega-billionaire father Sulu, er Mr. Nakamura, and his corporate climbing sister will be explored. Also H.R.G.'s (Mr. Bennett) deceptive relationship with his wife and of course healing daughter Claire will be explored.

Heroes' Hiro and his relationship with his father and sister spoilers: George Takei (who plays Mr. Nakamura aka Sulu) gave a candid interview in TV Guide, which if believed provides a lot of Hiro's family backstory. It turns out little cheerful Hiro is among the richest people in the entire world, his Dad arriving last week in a new $400,000 Bentley. What? you might ask. Hiro the faceless company man in the cubicle is rich. Yes indeed. His Dad, believes in training his children into the company from the bottom up. Learn humility and skill in the Japanese way. So, Sulu ... Mr. Nakamura cannot tolerate the risk of his son wondering around in danger in America. He wants Hiro home secure with his bodyguards. After all there are evil people in the world who might seek to gain ransom from a rich man using his wayward son Hiro

Now, what does this have to do with a magic samurai sword spoiler, which Hiro seeks to regain his Heroes hero status? Hiro Nakamura it turns out is the descendant of a long line of Shogun aristocracy. What is one of their family relics... a samurai sword of course! Back to Linderman.

As for the Bennett dysfunctional family unit: H.R.G. has been living a lie for years. His wife Mrs. Bennett has discovered on numerous occasions Claire's power, as well as H.R.G.'s sinister alter ego. Even worse, she learned of the true circumstances of Claire's adoption. Ever wonder why she has an unnaturally vacuous look? That's because she has been subjected to the Haitien's mind erasing every time she remembers or discovers anything. Ambiguous H.R.G. will do anything to keep her and Claire clueless. However, the Haitien's mind-erasing power is not like a precision guided smart bomb taking out a terrorist cell. Nope, the repeated erasures on Mrs. Bennett have wiped out a lot of innocent brain cells, to the point she almost is a Stepford Wife.

The big Distractions Heroes spoiler is that it all falls apart for H.R.G. Sylar is on the loose and out to wreak havoc with H.R.G. ... and of course eat Claire the cheerleader daughter's brain. Sylar takes H.R.G.'s ID, puts on a Primatech Paper suit and off he goes to H.R.G.'s home, leaving H.R.G. helpless in a cell in basement of Primatech Paper. Can you hear the Heroes web game creeping up? Also, Claire's adoptive Mother finally gets clued in, interestingly by Sylar. Does she survive the Sylar encounter? Our bet is yes, since again, she has no Heroes super power to offer him.

Anyone wondering if Sylar gets re-captured? The answer is no. The Heroes spoilers picture above is a publicity photo of Sylar still on the loose in Heroes Episode 15 (two weeks)! Thanks Just Jared.

Claire's biological father also will be revealed, and he has some kind of power too. Like father like daughter.

Then of course there is the renowned dysfunctional family unit of Nikki / Jessica - the good / bad dual personality mom, D.L. the fugitive dad who can walk through walls, and of course Micah, with the Heroes cash machine superpower - the breadwinner child. Nikki goes in for more analysis by the jail psychiatrist, who of course demands to speak with Jessica, without handcuffs. So Jessica is provide with an opportunity to get loose.

Here is the "official" word from NBC.com. As usual, an tantalizingly vague episode summary is provided, with some nice spoilers mixed in. Take this summary, and spoiler in general, with a grain of salt, and for the fun they are.

The title refers to the dysfunctional family spoiler - y aspect of the episode: "With Their New Paths Becoming Clearer, Some 'Heroes' Family Relationships Are Driven Apart".

Then they go into the episode teaser spoilers:

Hiro struggles to make his father (guest star George Takei), a corporate tycoon, and ambitious sister (guest star Saemi Nakamura) understand his new heroic path in life. Niki has a chance to be with D.L. and Micah again, but will she really be with them? Claude (guest star Chris Eccleston) attempts to teach Peter to harness his abilities, but the process could shatter Peter's faith in those closest to him. Determined to find her birth mother (guest star Jessalyn Gilsig), Claire makes her way to a trailer park in Texas.

The trailer park is home for Claire's biological mom. Will Claire find her bio dad? Not in this episode.

Meanwhile, Sylar makes a shocking move against H.R.G. -- and his family.

He will not manage to kill Claire the healer though.

Heroes Chapter 14 Spoilers Update - "Distractions"

This is a little update on the spoilers for the upcoming episode of Heroes, which is called "Distractions". I will be posting the full spoilers post for this episode with some all new items I've learned tomorrow.

Here are a few: Sylar, Heroes' resident serial killer dispenses with H.R.G. and heads home in a Primatech Paper suit to visit Claire, or more correctly eat her brain. He has some Sylar fun with mom. Not sure if H.R.G. survives but we are 100% certain someone dies in one of the February episodes.

Interestingly, the Canadian preview was somewhat different from what was shown by NBC in the United States. Some more emphasis on Nikki/Jessica, and insight into how she gets loose. Here it is from YouTube:

Oh, and here are some general Season 1 and Season 2 spoilers from the mouth of creator Tim Kring, who knows what he is talking about ... or is giving out misdirection ;) Tim would like to see Sylar stick around.... So rumors were that Zach Quinto (Sylar) is on a one-season contract, and this means they may be negotiating renewal. Time will tell. As for the theme of whether New York blows up in the season finale, that storyline will be concluded, so we will know whether the catastrophe successfully is avoided. However the season-ending cliffhanger will concern whether certain characters survive.

Heroes Chapter 13: "The Fix" Episode Summary

This is my Heroes TV Show Spoilers blog episode summary of the interesting twists and turns for Chapter 13 of Heroes, The Fix.

This was a fast-paced episode of Heroes, difficult even to keep up. Ok, first with what is obvious to regular readers of this blog: Star Trek's George Takai made his premiere as Hiro's dad - fresh from Japan to track down his Heroes Hiro superhero son.

Zack, Claire’s computer guru sidekick is convinced again. So Claire is worth having as a friend, just like study-buddies in the photo. Huh? I never was convinced that a teenage boy like Zack would turn down Claire the cute cheerleader as in the Godsend episode of Heroes last week. So finally the universe has been fixed, in The Fix.

Peter has the good sense to escape from Nathan, his flying brother, and Mohinder who wants to "fix" him. Mohinder is sounding more and more like a problem… he wants to “study” and “help” the superheroes, just like ambiguous H.R.G. It will be much more interesting in coming episodes to watch Peter and the invisible man Claude Raines. I love Claude’s story. Invisibility, how intriguing…much less with invisible clothes! Conventional invisibility requires the hero to strip down to be invisible. Not Claude and Peter the power sponge. Their clothing becomes invisible too. No need to fix that.

Hiro is powerless without his magic samurai sword. Actually, the spoiler is that it is all just psychological. Hiro THINKS he is powerless and therefore he becomes powerless. He only needs to regain his confidence. Hiro retains the power to bend time, just has lost his confidence to use it.

Back in the top-secret underground facility of Primatech Paper in Odessa, Texas: Sylar played dead and now H.R.G. of horn rimmed glasses fame is in a whole world of hurt – stuck in a room with Sylar, Heroes’ bad boy. We all have assumed he has no powers, and if he does not he now is at Sylar’s mercy. On the other hand, Sylar murders for the purpose of learning how you tick … how your Heroes superpower works, so he can absorb it himself. Now if H.R.G. has no power as everyone believes, then perhaps he will not be killed by Sylar as he has nothing to offer.

Claire’s mother is Meredith Gordon – a firestarter. It is not surprising that Claire’s mother has a power too. What is surprising is that she gave up Claire willingly despite her superpower. As soon as Claire hangs up, her mother calls her biological father, and we are promised you won't believe who he is. Here at the Heroes spoilers blog, we know :) Either H.R.G. or someone close to him.

Micah, the son of Nikki/Jessica and D.L. – has the ATM power. Talk about profitable.

Matt the mind reader and pregnant Janice. The spoiler is that he is uncertain whether the baby is his. After all, she had an affair just before the pregnancy. My read of her body language is that she has no guilt, at least about the baby, so pure speculation, not spoiler, is that the baby probably really is Matt's. Can’t wait to see what power the baby has, but the spoiler is we all will have to wait for Season 2 to learn if at all. By the way, I wish Matt would stop whining and do something productive with his superpower. Being able to read minds is nothing to ignore.

Jessica / Nikki gets psychiatric treatment after D.L. sneaks through the walls in her padded cell for a visit. In the last scene, the psychiatrist insists that Nikki let violent Jessica speak with her. The spoilers are: Not a good idea. Jessica wants out and this presents an opportunity.

There are 36 people on the Heroes list compiled by Professor Chandra Suresh, Mohinder’s dad. Who might they be? Are you on the List?

Hana Gitelman: Heroes New SuperHero

Heroes is set to unveil the newest superhero: the unlikely Hana Gitelman, shown in the publicity photo. Hana was a superhero, even before she developed any superpower - a first. She was a member of the Israeli Mossad, Israel's equivalent of the CIA. As a secret agent Hana hunted down terrorists from Gaza to Iran, all without superpowers. Now Hana has the power to receive and send e-mails, but without a Blackberry. She also can receive other types of electronic communications and control computers all with her mind. Pretty neat.

There are some spoilers in Hana's backstory, not yet broadcast. Hana was captured by H.R.G. like the other heroes, and she is determined to figure out his plans. She has already tracked down Ted Sprague, the Heroes radioactive guy. He received her email even though his Nevada desert hideout has no electricity. Hana has a dark side that she needs to learn to live with. There is a sneak peak of Hana and Ted here.

Heroes' Hana Gitelman is played by Stana Katic, who last appeared as Collette Stenger in Season 5 of 24 on Fox.

Heroes Spoilers: "The Fix" - Season 1, Episode 13

Updated

This is my spoilers blog for the next episode of Heroes - Season 1, Episode 13, which is called "The Fix". As usual, if you want to remain in suspense until the broadcast, stop reading now ...

I will post an episode summary of this episode, with the clues and hints after it is broadcast.

As reported here a month ago, George Takai, who is Sulu of Star Trek fame joins the cast of Heroes as time shifting Hiro's Dad from Japan (Takai is in the middle of the photo). He portrays is a stern man, and the role presented challenges for Takai, requiring him to speak in the Japanese language. He plays a significant figure - one of power in the business world in Japan.

Reportedly Takai is signed for a three-episode stint, meaning we can expect Hiro's dad's presence for the middle of Season 1. His mission is to take Hiro home to Japan. He's had hints of Hiro's power and wants to spare him the burden. Here at the Heroes TV Show Spoilers blog are rooting for Hiro to stay, and are confident that ratings demand it!

Moreover, in Season 2, action will periodically shift to Japan.

NBC also has released its official episode guide for The Fix. As usual, beware of misleads and vague hints in it. They report that Hiro is being pursued by assailants unknown in his quest for the samurai sword of destiny. And, suddenly his father (Sulu, aka George Takei) appears.

Now drug-free Issac dedicates himself to stopping New York's destruction -- and Peter's.

Claire, the indestructible Cheerleader, "embarks on a search for her true birth parents" while keeping the mission secret from her overly controlling father H.R.G. Look for Claire to learn astounding facts about them in Episode 14. Here is a teaser: At least one of her biological parents is an employee of infamous Primatech Paper, with H.R.G. And, we have seen that character in a previous episode. A big spoiler is to expect Claire to track down at least her biological mother in The Fix, or in the next episode, and Tim Kring the creator of Heroes has promised that Claire will find her biological mother played by Jessalyn Gilsig living in an Airstream in a trailer park in The Fix. Beware of spoilers misdirection!

Claude (Dr. Who, aka Christopher Eccleston), is the invisible pickpocket guy, who may be in a position to play an imperfect Yoda to Peter's power sponge. Claude has been living with his powers for a while and has knowledge of what "really" is going on. He will not reveal that knowledge in The Fix, but look for it to be hinted at by his confidence.

D.L. - the husband of Nikki/Jessica struggles with new family responsibilities, namely bringing up a superpower kid of his own.

Matt the mind reader opens up to his wife Janice who seems very pregnant.

H.R.G. - Jessica the Cheerleader's dad focuses on his captive Sylar, as in last weeks episode.

"While working to find those on "the list," Suresh receives a surprising visitor" - how's that for vague?

Godsend Episode Summary

Q - When is a Heroes TV Show Spoilers Blog not a Heroes spoilers blog?
A - When it does a Heroes episode summary. ... NOT

This Heroes episode summary has the clues and spoilers that we think are interesting in the episode. Not everything from the episode, but our view on highlights and clues to the future.

Claire the unbreakable cheerleader, sheesh she keeps getting blood stains on her clothes.

OK, The big one for tonight: the Heroes 360 Degrees Experience.

This has everything to do with Claire's psycho father HRG's front company, Primatech Paper. We meet Primatech Paper in the raid on their Odessa, Texas facility. A lot of superheroes in one place. Suddenly HRG is a smirking psycho bad guy again. Taunting Matt with his failure to expose HRG.

Did you notice how the episode starts "two weeks later"? That's what is flashed on the opening card. HRG must have gone on a crash diet in those two weeks. Notice how much thinner he has become? Definitely did not eat a lot over holiday/New Year break.

The Heroes 360 Degree Experience is launched during the episode with the hint to text Apply to 46622 printed on HRG's business card handed to Mohinder Suresh. Now what was that? NBC gave the spoiler to it a few days ago with a press release announcing the 360 Degree Experience will begin today, with the airing of Godsend. Basically the 360 Degree Experience will be like an on-line treasure hunt for storyline clues related to Heroes, and maybe spoilers too. This is meant to augment the viewing experience, like with the on-line web game that Lost had last summer. The Heroes 360 Degree Experience is sponsored by Nissan (and others), so expect some product placement and tie-ins.

Here is what NBC says officially about the Heroes 360 Degree Experience game:

Beginning on January 22nd, viewers will be invited to experience "Heroes" in a whole new way. As they investigate on-air clues and learn new truths about the characters, their involvement will lead them to new platforms, including interaction with unique mobile content

The Heroes 360 Degree Experience can be found on PrimatechPaper.com

Back to the episode:

Hiro at the museum of Natural History in New York, looking at the dinosaur exhibit. Conveniently, the Heroes samurai sword is right next to the exhibit. As soon as Hiro sees it he knows he’s found his weapon. The twist: It is a replica and the infamous Linderman has popped up again… He’s got the original.

Then Linderman has a recurring invisible presence, appearing again as the guy who stole … errr bought all the paintings.

Ted the radioactive guy – he is isolated all alone with his inner demons in a remote desert location in Nevada - a nuclear test range for the radioactive guy. A fitting place for him to absorb all the energy he needs.

The big reveal of PrimatechPaper.com on HRG’s card. The access number is on the back of the card. Conveniently it is not revealed, and of course the Heroes 360 Degree Experience will involve that very number.

The big reveal, we were right… Peter the power sponge absorbs Ted’s radioactivity and can’t control it, so the world explodes. Ambiguous Claude is introduced to be Peter’s reluctant Yoda to control the power of this Force. An evil hero using his invisibility power to pick pockets on crowded streets.

Oh, Sylar did not escape :). What are they saving him for? Poor pitiful Sylar curled up in a ball at he beginning, like decidedly not pitiful Nikki/Jessica at the end. Tidy episode bookends.

Heroes Spoilers: "Godsend"

Finally the waiting is over for Heroes spoilers fans. The next episode is a new one, and it is right around the corner.

The title of the Heroes episode is "Godsend", and this one is Episode 12 of Season 1, undoubtedly the first of many. That's not a spoiler :)

A lot of rumors have been floated, cranking up the Heroes hype. Expect record-breaking ratings when the episode airs first on January 22, 2007. The only thing that could stop it is going heads-up against Jack Bauer. We love Jack, but the good money bets that Jack needs to find a new time slot. He may be helped by shape-shifters to ratings safety ... uh I mean time-shifters ... you know Tivo.

Ok let's get down to business. Last month we had the big spoiler for this Heroes episode...

Claude the invisible guy portrayed by the U.K.'s Dr. Who Christopher Eccleston. Chris was the ninth actor portraying Dr. Who, and is depicted in the photo at right in the role. Look for Claude to be the mature Yoda to Peter power sponge, who is of increasing importance to saving the world. However, the spoiler is Claude is a Heroes hero of ambiguous intentions and we will not know exactly who's side he is on.

Hiro and Ando go on their quest for the samurai sword used by Hiro to battle the monstrous dinosaur in Isaac's famous painting. More Heroes spoilers on the sword here.

There has been a lot of speculation on whether Hiro really goes back to the Jurassic era to fight the nasty T-Rex. However newest whispered spoiler on the street, heard only here is that the painting actually was an allegory, and the real event is that Hiro and Ando come into danger at the exhibit, grab the sword from the samurai warrior display in self-defense. As Hiro swings the weapon, the dinosaur display at the museum serves witness, as memorialized in Isaac's painting. So there are two possibilities - Hiro does battle in Jurassic park, versus the museum. We have been unable to fully verify this one, so it's just a hunch *wink*, we are going with Hiro swings the Heroes sword in the museum, witnessed by the dino-exhibit.

Do you remember Niki, the split personality, surrendered to the police in the mid-season cliff-hanger? Can you imagine what her baaad half Jessica thinks of that? Not a spoiler here, she is frustrated and pissed off!

Claire the healing cheerleader after her discussion with the Haitian memory eraser, and struggles with keeping secrets from uber controlling dad H.R.G. - Mr. Horn Rimmed Glasses (Mr. Bennett)

Here is the "official" word from NBC.com. You can see their episode summary is pretty vague, but some nice spoilers to keep us interested. So take the summary - and spoilers in general - for the fun it is:

The title refers to all the cliffhangers and to the appearance of invisible Claude:

"Following Painful Revelations and Shocking Changes, Many "Heroes" Struggle to Move Forward as a New Hero (guest star Christopher Eccleston) is Revealed"

Then they go into the meat of the episode:

Picking up two weeks after recent events, Nathan’s (Adrian Pasdar) determination to save a comatose Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) forces him to turn to Simone (Tawny Cypress) for help. Isaac’s (Santiago Cabrera) puzzling "Hiro vs. T-Rex" painting inspires Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (guest star James Kyson Lee) to search for the pictured samurai sword.
Notice they are coy on whether Hiro goes back to fight the dinosaur. Look for the "fight" to happen either in this episode or within the next 2 weeks.

Jessica (Ali Larter) struggles against Niki’s decision to turn herself into police.
Imagine this.

With his associate Eden dead and Matt on his heels, H.R.G. tries to focus on his orders regarding Sylar (guest star Zachary Quinto).

Hey! Sylar now is a "guest star"! This is the real spoiler. Look for Sylar to come to an end this season.

After being offered a choice by the Haitian (guest star Jimmy Jean-Louis), Claire (Hayden Panettiere) struggles with changes her decision has wrought. Taking up his father’s quest, Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) attempts to share information about who is "on the list" of people with special abilities and the threats to their lives. Meanwhile, a new hero (guest star Christopher Eccleston) makes a shocking debut.

Claude is another guest role.

Heroes Spoiler Season

From the teaser trailer and some other super secret hidden sources maybe, we've now isolated a few more spoilers.

Niki, half of the the dual personality with Jessica, is informed by her lawyer or someone really official looking that the prosecution is going for the death penalty. It is not clear whether it is her, her disappearing husband D.L., or Ted the radioactive guy who they want offed. The last we see of Niki in the ad is an injection and her lying face down in a padded mental hospital room.

Most chilling is Mohinder saying to Nathan the congressman that his brother Peter is the most important person on the entire list. Peter the power sponge is the key, as we have said before.

Claire's increasingly less creepy dad H.R.G. (horn rimmed glasses) joins with Mohinder to form an alliance. As seen in the publicity photo at left, H.R.G. says, here's my card, let's do lunch. We do not know if Mohinder is being used now, since we still have not learned who H.R.G.'s puppet master is. After all, it is no coincidence that indestructible Claire wound up being "adopted" by H.R.G.

Hiro has a naively presented interaction with Nathan, where Nathan cannot get his accent. This carries the theme of bringing Nathan into acceptance of his super flying power.

We Are Family ... Not

What's going on with this? Is D.L. Hawkins, the disappearing guy, Nikki (or is it Jessica?) Sanders and Micah (electronics-wonder-kid) back together again as one happy family? Big spoiler?

No, this one really is not an official Heroes TV Show Spoilers blog spoiler. We noticed this PR photo and thought it was ironic the whole family was together. Is NBC sending us a message about a future together? I don't think so. They just were all in the same place when the photographer came by! But you know, I'd really like to see it happen. Talk about dysfunctional family fun...

Hiro Sword Spoilers

What did we know about Hiro's quest for his sword? In our earlier Heroes spoilers posts, it was revealed that Hiro keeps up his quest for the samurai sword - you know, the sword strapped to his back in the famous subway future sequence between Hiro and Peter Petrelli.

In recently released PR shots, we see that Hiro really does find the sword. Not just the sword but the full samurai warrior body armour.

But let's take a closer look at this spoiler scene. Why is it a spoiler? Well we know Hiro sees his goal. But check out the handle of the samurai weapon. Nice design huh? Really nice. In fact, it's like "x" marks the spot. In this case its the Heroes RNA strand logo marks the spot.

Ando gets into the scene too.

Nice design.

Matt and Claire Spoilers

The Heroes spoilers are rolling in to Heroes TV Show Spoilers central now that we are getting some buzz.

Buzz? Like a cute bumble bee buzz?

Not what we had in mind, but that buzz is for another day…stay tuned.

As for the spoilers, they will keep rolling out of the inner sanctum to hype the January 22 mid-season Heroes premiere. As soon as we fully interrogate and vet each spoiler we will post them here ... keep checking. After all we need to maintain our track record of 100% accuracy. Seriously, not, our hit rate is not looking around 99.9%. How’s that for innovative grammar ? ;)

Without further introduction, here are the new spoilers:

If she had not yet figured it out, Matt's wife finally gets clued in as he confirms all her suspicions that there is something going on in his head. More correctly in her head since it's Matt who is there reading her mind at will. All those secrets she has really are not. She’s been bad and he knows it but also has guilt.

Claire, daughter of HRG (Mr. Horn-Rimmed-Glasses), of course spends some real quality time with the mind erasing "Haitian" superhero. Finally she blurts out she wants to meet Peter Petrelli. Why is that? Well Peter the power sponge is the key, and Claire needs to save the world. As loyal readers of the Heroes TV Show Spoilers blog already know, "Save the cheerleader .. Save the world" means a lot more than just saving Claire’s life. It means saving her Heroes memories. HER superpowers are needed to help save the world – and she needs to be kept safe from rampaging Sylar on the loose. Getting close to power sponge Peter Petrelli is a key, so he can use her healing powers, and at the necessary time Ted the radioactive guy's radiation. And Voila, world is saved! Or maybe destroyed if the dream is really what it seemed to be – which we doubt.

Heroes Season 1 Spoilers

General Heroes Spoilers
Not Episode-Specific

Here are some general Heroes Season 1 spoilers that I've identified for the remainder of the season. In the coming weeks I'll be expanding these Heroes spoilers a lot as we gather more information.

The bare bones of the spoilers are laid out by Tim Kring in an interview. If you haven't noticed he's the guy who pops up on the title card of Heroes as the creator. So he probably has a pretty good crystal ball. On the other hand, laying out some misdirection may help with PR, so take these spoilers with a grain of salt. Also, as a creator associated with the show, he had to be pretty vague, but we have been able to fill in some of the blanks.

Claire will go through the season pretending to her father H.R.G that she does not remember her superpowers. In reality she does remember them and this leads to a pretty tense home-life for her, until she leaves eventually to help with saving the world. As we said before, "Save the Cheerleader" meant not only to save her life, but also to save Claire's memories.

One theme of the remainder of the season will be “Are you on the List?”. NBC was running "List" promos during the New Year's Day football games. This refers to the list now possessed by Mohinder, but assembled by his father the obsessed Indian professor. I'm wondering if this will last as the theme of the remainder Season 1 of Heroes, or whether a new slogan will be rolled out later. Not the compelling punch that “Save the Cheerleader ... Save the world” had. Nevertheless, Mohinder’s continuing pursuit of the superheroes on the List will be a recurring theme of his mission to assist them, putting his own life in grave danger.

And yes, Mohinder gets converted into a full-fledged member of the Heroes gang. Not necessarily with superpowers, but aiding them.

The samurai sword is another Heroes spoiler. We know Hiro the Hero winds up as a modern day samurai warrior, but how does he do that. We will find out in a few episodes as Hiro tracks down the meaningful weapon in his quest for the sword.

Christopher Eccleston (aka Dr. Who) will play a character who becomes the Yoda to Peter’s Luke Skywalker.

Ted Sprague, the radioactive guy, will reappear soon. We knew he had to because his radioactive power absorbed by power sponge Peter seems to be a cause of the explosion in the dream sequence cliffhanger.

Terrorism: Thankfully the show’s creators have had the good sense not to pursue this as the theme of the explosion in New York. That would have torpedoed the show’s popularity faster than you can say Osama Bin Laden. Instead, the focus has to do with Ted the radioactive guy. This may be an unsubstantiated rumor as we have not been able to verify it yet.

Digg!

Heroes 2006 Season 1 Schedule

In total there will be 23 episodes, one more than the expected 22 episodes. Rumour has it that the ratings expectations are so high that NBC decided to fund another. A treat for Heroes fans.

NBC will start Heroes up again on January 22, 2007, with seven straight episodes. Then there will be a 5-week mini-hiatus in April, followed by the remaining 5 episodes of Heroes’ rousing season 1. There is a lot of speculation that by the end of the season, Heroes will have become the highest rated recurring series on television, even surpassing Desperate Housewives. Time will tell on that.
